When it is said that the Gran Premio Liberazione is a "passport" for Under 23s towards professionalism... Curiously, after Michele Gazzoli the triumph at Caracalla paved the way for another move from team Colpack to Astana in the World Tour: that of Alessandro Romele, who this year crowned 130 kilometers in a breakaway, beating the Dane Gustav Wang at the finish.
