The Gran Premio Liberazione has its roots in the circuit laid out around the Baths of Caracalla. The start and finish area is located right on Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, and then the riders tackle the roads that run alongside Porta Ardeatina, the Roman Walls, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Porta San Paolo.
Each lap measures 6 km, and it is a particularly demanding as well as evocative route, as the elevation gain
never gives the participants a break, with continuous ups and downs that can challenge even the most prepared rider
making the race unpredictable until the very last meter.
GRAN PREMIO DELLA LIBERAZIONE U23 Km: 138 Laps: 23
GRAN PREMIO DELLA LIBERAZIONE WOMEN 1.1 Km: 96 Laps: 16

The last three kilometers begin 200 meters after entering Viale di Porta Ardeatina, downhill. After another 400 meters, there is a curve that leads, still downhill, to Piazza di Porta San Paolo where, with a U-turn, the climb up Viale Giotto begins, which is fairly straight and after 900 meters leads to Largo Fioritto where there is a roundabout and you turn right onto Viale Guido Baccelli, which is flat for 200 meters, at the end of which you make a turn on the same Viale Guido Baccelli and pass again through the entry roundabout and continue, this time downhill towards Largo delle Vittime del terrorismo, where a final tight right turn leads onto the 250-meter completely flat finishing straight.
