One month to go until April 25th, the highlight of the Lazio Bike Days, that is, the three days of Caracalla which will open with the Italian Team Time Trial Championship for Allievi on Wednesday the 23rd and continue with the two days of the Gran Premio della Liberazione. To kick things off, on the morning of Thursday the 24th, will be the riders aged 17 and 18: a race that, for the third year in a row, will be called CAVALIERE LIBERAZIONE JUNIORES.
"I am increasingly proud to give my support to an event that is a showcase of global importance! - says Clemente Cavaliere, owner of Cavaliere Bici, a physical (in Montoro, Irpinia) and online shop for bicycles and cycling gear - The Liberazione has a truly unique history: born as an Under 23 classic with many champions on its roll of honour, since it was extended to more categories it has gained similar prestige for the Juniors as well. Taking part both as a partner company and with my team CPS, which this year, even though we have many first-year boys, will come to the Terme di Caracalla to compete for the win, represents enormous prestige."
In the photo above you can see Clemente Cavaliere next to the president of the Lazio Cycling Federation, Maurizio Brilli, at the start of the previous edition of the Cavaliere Liberazione Juniores. Cavaliere continues: "In my CPS I have had talents like Schwarzbacher, Finn, and Capello who now rightly race in Development teams of World Tour structures, but sometimes I see too much ambition to immediately move to that type of team, losing sight of the peculiarities of one's own path and risking biting off more than you can chew. In any case, there are various problems in the movement, which is carried forward mainly thanks to the healthy obsession of many die-hard enthusiasts, like me, Claudio Terenzi (organizer of the Liberazione, himself active with a Junior team called Veleka, and a personal friend of Cavaliere) and the numerous team managers who compete to sign up for this and other events."
