Italian Team Time Trial Championships Allievi: Zero24 win in the men's category and Flandreslove Fiorenzo Magni in the women's category

The Lazio Bike Days began today in Rome, a series of cycling races of various categories on the historic Caracalla circuit, organized by Terenzi Sport Eventi. The first day featured the Italian Team Time Trial Championships for Allievi. The men's victory went to the highly favored Marche team Petrucci Zero24, with Andrea Alessiani, Edoardo Fiorini, and the twins Filippo and Tommaso Cingolani, who were the only ones to finish under twenty minutes: traveling at 45.773 km/h, they outclassed the Lazio team Work Service Coratti (well done to Brian Paris, Gianmaria Graziani, and Filippo Antonelli, winner two years ago of the GP Liberazione Esordienti, for delivering an excellent performance despite Lorenzo Ferraro's chain drop at the start) and the Veneto team Faizanè CSZ Sandrigo who completed the podium.
The women's podium was all Lombard, with Flandreslove Fiorenzo Magni asserting the ranks of its young champions such as Anna Bonassi, Emma Cocca, Beatrice Trabucchi, and Anna Mucciarini: their time was 23'07''27, already foreshadowed by a first split under 8 minutes. Starting from the blocks in the last heat, the athletes from the Brescia-based club snatched the partial lead from the cycling school Verso l'Iride, which had completed the 15-kilometer course in 23'36''35. Third place went to Cesano Maderno, which also includes Vivienne Cassata, daughter of showgirl and great cycling friend Justine Mattera. These are the very first tricolor jerseys awarded on the road in 2025.

After today's appetizer, tomorrow the 78th GP Liberazione really gets underway with the youth categories at the starting line. At 9:30 am the Cavaliere Liberazione Juniores starts: Marchi (Borgo Molino) vs. Magagnotti (Contri Autozai), Baruzzi (Aspiratori Otelli) vs. Mengarelli (Fratelli Giorgi), and many other duels that will intertwine among the tight curves and tricky climbs in the heart of the Capital; there is also curiosity for Clemente Cavaliere's CPS, main sponsor of the Juniores race, for patron Terenzi's Veleka, whose Belarusian athlete Slesarenko has surprised everyone at the start of this season, and for some foreign teams expected at the start. At 12:30 pm it will be the turn of the Liberazione Allievi, with several teams remaining in Rome from the previous day's team time trial: live streaming on the Facebook and YouTube channels "Toscana Sprint" from about 1:50 pm. At 3:30 pm the Liberazione Esordienti will see young talents in a dream setting: live streaming on the Facebook and YouTube channels "Toscana Sprint" from about 4 pm. To close this central day, at 5 pm it will be the turn of the Liberazione Amatori.

Friday the 25th is the highlight. At 9 am the Coati Liberazione Women (1.1) valid as the fourth women's stage of the Coppa Italia delle Regioni: the top team on paper is UAE Adq, the star last year with a triple finish that marked the first highlight of a fantastic season for Paris 2024 Olympic gold medalist Chiara Consonni, while this year they will rely on Sofia Bertizzolo and Sofie van Rooijen; the main challenger will be another World Tour team, the Swiss Roland of Giorgia Vettorello, and several Italian Continental teams that will allow us to see, among others, Linda Laporta (Bepink), Lara Crestanello (Born to Win BTC), Eleonora La Bella (Aromitalia Vaiano), or track star Anita Baima, racing for the Horizons club. There will be no live broadcast here but a delayed one on Rai Sport.

At 12 pm, one of the most significant moments for the social as well as sporting aspect of Liberazione: the "Bike 4 Fun - ride of giving" which will allow anyone who wants to spend a carefree hour on a bicycle to ride in the heart of the Capital; Bike 4 Fun is organized in collaboration with ANED Sport and AIDO to also raise awareness on the topic, still too little discussed and known, of organ donation.

At 2 pm, the 78th edition of the "queen race" of the GP Liberazione: what was once for amateurs and, since the international category change, is reserved for Under 23s. Almost all the Italian Continental teams and several foreign ones are present, including VF Bardiani Csf Faizanè and UAE Gen Z... Turconi (winner of the Piva and breakaway at the Sanremo), Bessega, Belletta, Giaimi, Stella, Oioli, Cipollini jr. are just a small part of the names we will find in the start list of a race that traditionally projects the winners towards professionalism (the post-Covid roll of honor lists Gazzoli, Uhlig, Romele, Donati, the latter moving from Biesse Carrera to the Red Bull development team) and is considered a U23 Spring World Championship. The icing on the cake, at 6:30 pm the 10 km running race (both competitive and non-competitive) in collaboration between Terenzi Sport Eventi and Appia Run.

The structures around the Baths of Caracalla during the two days of the GP Liberazione will be set up and taken down by young people performing community service under the aegis of the ALETES association, reinforcing the civic commitment of Terenzi Sport Eventi alongside the purely sporting one for the movement.
